I’m an expert traveler and got my first taste of international travel during a stint as a cadet aboard a ship in the U.S. Merchant Marine. Since then, I’ve spent many years exploring the world. So far I’ve seen more than half of the states in the United States and nearly half of the world’s countries.

I’ve learned a lot about the most worthwhile things to see and do on my journeys. They’re described here in great detail. I’ve included some other tips that I think you’ll find useful, like where to stay, what to eat, how to get to these places, and why you should go. The site’s loaded with some of my favorite photos from these trips. In addition, there will be some fun anecdotes, historical tidbits, and quotes. I hope you will find it entertaining and informative. 

This site is geared primarily toward safe and healthy budget travel for solo and couple travelers, but all are welcome. It will help you prioritize and provide context for your next trip.
